Courses are currently held at the Lukenya Academy British Curriculum School near Athi River, about 1.5 hours from Nairobi. The map below shows the location. We recommend that students share transportation or arrange to be dropped off and picked up if possible. Please note that once the course begins students are not permitted access to their cars.
From Afya Centre in Nairobi, board a matatu to Machakos. This will cost approximately KSH 250. Ask the conductor to drop you off at Lukenya Stage, which is a little past Athi River town. From there you can take a bodaboda motorbike (KSH 100) to Lukenya Academy British Curriculum School.
If driving from Nairobi, get onto Mombasa Rd and drive about 30 Km past Airtel Centre where there are signboards for the Lukenya Girls and Boys Schools on the left-hand side. Do not turn left here. Drive on past these signboards. To your right you will pass signboards for National Concrete Co. and Golden Africa Ltd. About 3 Km after the first Lukenya School signboards you will come to the Lukenya Academy British Curriculum School signboard on the left-hand side. You will then get onto a murram road and drive for about 2 Km until you reach the venue.
Taxis are readily available from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. At the time of writing, Uber taxi fares typically cost between KSH 1,300 and KSH 1,500 from JKIA to Lukenya Academy British Curriculum School. Although slightly more expensive, it is advisable to organise a taxi from one of the taxi companies at arrivals, as their fares are standardised. Tell the driver that you would like to go to Lukenya Academy British Curriculum School, and give them the directions above.
